How we got to barkin’
Barkin’ Doggie Biscuits is the product of our desire to bake the most delicious, wholesome, all-natural doggie biscuits known to both doggie and humans alike and our passion to create greater doggie awareness by allowing us to donate one biscuit to a doggie in need for every biscuit sold.
Our goal
To sell Barkin’ Doggie Biscuits to the farthest reaches of the Earth, giving doggies in need the chance to enjoy the greatest bark-worthy biscuits they would not have otherwise had the pleasure of barkin’ for.
Our doggie-lovin’ adventure
Our idea to sell the best tasting doggie biscuits on the planet with all-natural, pronounceable ingredients was inspired by our deep love for doggies of all kinds. However, we did not want to stop with a simple doggie biscuit-selling venture. Rocky and Zeus, our rescued yellow lab and black lab-weimaraner mix, despite all their minor doggie incidents — including the time Rocky ate an entire chocolate cake at a Christmas party, when Zeus saw fit to “mark his territory” on Annvi’s leg at a dog park due to his blatant jealousy, when Rocky learned how to open tupperware and decided to reward himself by eating 2 cups of uncooked rice, both of their perpetual kitchen raids and our subsequent clean-up duties — have given us so much barkin’ joy we want to give back to the community from which they both came. There are many doggies in shelters, rescue groups, and foster homes that are in need, and we would like to help brighten up their days and taste buds one Barkin’ Doggie Biscuit at a time.
The barks behind Barkin’ Doggie Biscuits

Rocky – Chief Tasting Officer
About His Name: Named after Sylvester Stallone’s boxing character because when we adopted him he had a scar on his nose and he was no stranger to adversity before we found him.
Likes: all Barkin’ Doggie Biscuits, tennis balls, jumping into strangers’ cars, bananas, things that are not good for him, peanut butter, midnight kitchen runs, sleeping on the couch when no one is home, getting more attention than Zeus, and giving his paw in exchange for a Barkin’ Doggie Biscuit (the only trick he performs in front of humans).
Dislikes: being treated like a dog and living without Barkin’ Doggie Biscuits.
Zeus – Head Chef
About His Name: Named after the Greek god Zeus because he used his godly powers to persuade us to adopt him when we were not looking to get another dog. It was our first day volunteering at the Bureau of Animal Regulation and Care (BARC) in Houston, and after only having walked/bathed/played with only three doggies for the day, we could not put the fourth (Zeus) back in his kennel.
Likes: all Barkin’ Doggie Biscuits, socks, fluffy toys with lots of squeakers, chasing birds, learning bad habits from Rocky, wagging his tail in Rocky’s face, and taking any toy that Rocky really likes away from him.
Dislikes: living without Barkin’ Doggie Biscuits, doing tricks in front of humans, playing fetch, and any other types of unsophisticated doggie past times.
Our mission
We know there are many, many, many more barkin’ doggies throughout the world just like Rocky and Zeus that are in need. Our mission is to bring greater awareness to shelters, rescue groups, and foster homes across the country so that more and more doggies find forever homes with the help of the most delicious, wholesome, all-natural doggie biscuits known to both doggie and humankind alike. Every biscuit you buy for your barkin’ doggie, we give one to a barkin’ doggie in need. For more information please see our partners page.
Cheers and Happy Barkin’!
